London on screen

London’s formal credit in the 1958 feature is the clearest screen anchor for the original dog. Later appearances need to be kept distinct from work by other dogs named London.

The 1958 feature

The Littlest Hobo (1958) formally credited London. Eisenmann later called the production The Miracle of the Lamb, which appears to be this feature; it is not yet clear whether that was an official alternate title.

Later work

London is also associated with My Dog Buddy, while later teams and productions included other dogs with the same public name. A screen reference to “London” is therefore not enough, by itself, to identify the original dog.
